Headcanons for if Shino’s s/o decided to join the anbu?

o o f im so sorry folks. i had this done a while ago, but internet’s been a dick to me recently and wouldn’t let me so much as go on google after i get home from work. i’ll do some asking around to see if anyone knows how to add a second person to the blog, because i sure as hell dont xDD

  • Shino wouldn’t know how to react to the news. He’d remain stoic and still until he was able to coherently form words into sentences. He’s a mixture of feelings – worry being the major one. What if they get hurt? What if said injury leaves them with a permanent wound? What if… What if they died? The thought crosses his mind and he shivers, unable to even think of a life where they’re not in it.
  • As he’s had more time to process their decision, he’s adamantly against it, using the phrase “What if you got hurt?” to try and talk them down, but he sees how unyielding they are about changing their decision. He ends up going along with their decision, but it still makes him uncomfortable, even though he knows full well that his s/o is more than capable of joining such an organization.
  • He keeps tabs on them, making sure they aren’t acting recklessly (even though he knows they won’t) and he can’t help but feel overprotective of them. They tell him to relax after they come home from their first mission with a small bruise. He knows better than to fret, so he does relax but keeps an eye on their wounds
  • Shino has no idea what being an Anbu entails, so he asks his s/o what it is they do. He knows they won’t be able to give him a full run down, but any small detail will help his mind be put at ease. If not, there’s still another person he could talk to about the Anbu. Two people, in fact.
  • However, he respects their wishes when his s/o says that it’s not meant for his ears. He knows they’re not being rude, but that he’s simply not allowed to know what kind of things they do.
  • At the end of each day, after their mission, Shino tries to make their home life as easy as possible. Every once in a while, Shino makes their favourite meal with a nice relaxing drink. They find their way to the bedroom, but they’re resting in his arms while he hums one of their favourite songs, kissing their head every once in a while.
