Let’s Players/BNHA AU

So I bet ppl have already made a bunch of AUs like this before but it’s four in the morning and I’m too lazy to look them up so I’m just gonna post some ideas and if I accidentally came with the same ideas as other ppl, well, sorry lol. And I’m not making up special names for the quirks bc I’m too tired for creativity outside of what’s already been on my mind.

Anyway

Jack

Jack is like a reverse empath? As opposed to experiencing other ppls feelings as if they were his own, he can emit his feelings at will and make others feel what he feels. Tho it’s hard to control when he’s feeling something particularly intense, like euphoria, melancholy, or rage, in which case it just kinda seeps out.

So he’s not a flashy superhero like All Might and most of the heros we see. He’d be more like Eraserhead or other stealth heroes, keeping to the shadows to effect enemies without his presence being detected. Though he’d probably have to fight sometimes, so he’d learn a style that lets him redirect his opponents attacks and he uses his quirk to subdue them (unless their convictions are too strong in which case they might be able to break out of it by sheer force of will).

He’d also probably take behavioural therapy sessions to help him maintain good moods and change bad ones. Obviously this all inspired by his PMA movement.

Mark

Mark has a similar quirk to Miss Joke. Mark’s laughter is contagious and he can make others laugh when he does, incapacitating their motor skills or laughing them senseless. He himself doesn’t necessarily have to feel joyful to make it work, he just has to make the sound of laughter and his enemies will begin laughing genuinely themselves, but it is stronger if he does actually laugh. Obviously he must activate his quirk for it to work so he can laugh normally without ppl being affected. Does not work thru recordings.

Danny and Arin

Danny can only make ppl feel positive emotions of his choice, like happiness, serenity, hope, etc., but he does it by singing. The quirk effects anyone in ear shot, so other heroes working with him that need to maintain focus will need a support item to cancel him out somehow while still being able to communicate with him. He can just vocalize or make up actual lyrics, doesn’t matter, as long as he sings. The quirk does not work thru recordings tho some of his fans swear it does when they listen to NSP lol. It’s a quirk that has to be activated so he can sing normally without effecting anyone’s mood like that. The quirks effects do not wear off as soon as he stops singing, it still lasts for a few minutes after.

Arin works the opposite way, only able to make ppl angry, to any degree he chooses, by rapping. The technicalities of his quirk work in all the same ways Danny’s does (works on anyone in earshot, he can choose when to activate it so he can still rap without the quirks effects, does not wear off immediately upon stopping, and does not work thru recordings), only difference being that he has to actually make lyrics, the more relevant they are and the more they “burn” the more powerful the affect is, so if he can, researching his opponents before a mission helps.

Obviously they are a duo, tho I’m not entirely sure how they would use their powers in conjuncture with each other. I imagine that, like with Jack, Danny’s quirk can be cancelled out by sheer force of will if the opponent in mentally strong enough. In which case, when Danny cannot calm an enemy, Arin angers them to the point of being irrational and unable to think straight, using their senseless rage and confusion against them. Maybe they are a fighting/rescue duo, where Arin draws the attention of villains away from crowds to fight them, while Danny calms civilians to lead them to safety.
