🔥 He isn’t normally one for pretty words and kind gestures but there is something about you that brings the romantic out in him. Though expect a few curses to be added to his romantic sweet nothings; the point is he’s trying.
🔥 He’s very protective of you, even if you can take of yourself perfectly fine without him. If you ever find yourself in a situation that you can’t handle be prepared for heads to roll, this man will stop at nothing to make sure you are out of harms way. He might go a a little over board sometimes, and you’re one of the only people he’ll listen to when he’s all riled up.
🔥 He enjoys lazy mornings with you, it’s been awhile since he had a place to call home so when he comes over to your apartment be prepared. He loves to laze around the place like a big cat and he will often insist that you join in him in his behavior. He does happen to be a great cuddler though.
🔥 He enjoys taking long hot baths with you, especially after a long day or if something doesn’t go quite as he planned. He loves the way the hot water relaxes his sore muscles and if you decide to wash his hair for him he might just fall asleep against you while you do so.
🔥 While he doesn’t really participate in overly romantic gestures he likes to let you know how much you mean to him. It’s also difficult to do more public dates since he has become more popular in the media. He’ll still try to do something special for you; maybe a late night walk in the park or surprising you with your favorite dessert.
🔥 He likes that you listen to him, even if you don’t quite understand or agree with him. Being able to discuss his desires and goals without risk of judgement or persecution is something that he absolutely adores about you.
🔥 Conversation is a two way street and listening to your hopes and dreams is something he always tries to make time for. Even if it’s not something he’s really interested in or really understands, he will do his best to pay attention. Plus he can help but think you are super cute when you talk about something that you love.
What if… The oldest Todoroki sibling planned and waited and when he saw his father find a ‘successor’ he finally took things to court. The signs of abuse/training were fresh on Shoto and obvious on his own body. If this went public, even if most of the public didn’t believe it, it’d be bad for the number 2 hero’s reputation, bad for the hero industry. The settlement allowed emancipation and allowed the oldest son to take the youngest with him. As long as they didn’t ever mention any of it nor used the family name, Todoroki.

So, another AU. I’m not sure how long it’ll be. But I’ll try to make the main part short.
You know what I just realized… if the Dabi Todoroki theory is true… then Dabi is the only child who got ALL of Endeavor’s looks. He got the red hair, the eyes, the quirk- everything. He looked like Endeavor the most out of all the kids- even Shouto.
And yeah that’s obvious lol but like,,, imagine what that must mean for his relationship with his mom.
Imagine how hard it must have been for her to be in the same room as the kid who looks like Endeavor, How fear must have entered her eyes for a split second every time she saw him. And as she grew worse she probably couldn’t even stand to look at him or be in the same room, and the older he got the more he looked like Endeavor, and he probably noticed.
How could you NOT notice, and at first he must have been so confused, scared he did something wrong, and goes out of his way to try and make it right, only to notice it’s getting worse.
Imagine the crushing realization he must of had when he realized his mother didn’t like him, that his mother was scared of him.
We know she was close to Shouto, and even tho we don’t know her relationship with the other kids I would assume that she would be closer to the ones who didn’t remind her of Endeavor.
And a little kid would notice that.
What if he grew to hate his looks. The looks that made his mother hate him.
And that’s what made him change his hair color and scar his face and body.
As to not be reminded of the fear in his mother’s eyes every time he looked in a mirror…
It’s just a theory ofc but like, if Dabi is a Todoroki his relationship with his mom would be VERY strained.
