I don’t want people to turn on Bubbline so I’m hesitant to remind people of the description of their past we were given, but Marceline was once like an older sister to a younger PB just like with Sheith. Only Marceline and PB sort of mutually pushed each other away when PB had to be a mature adult and run her kingdom while Marceline – forever a teenager – was too immature to handle that. It’s implied that initially Marceline’s friendship with PB in the past was similar to her friendship with Finn until PB literally outgrew her – and then that was what the Marceline short was about when she removed her vampire-ness. It allowed her to mature a bit more, so then she caught up with PB and they could fit each other again.
I could make a huge big post about this and tag it but like I said… I really don’t want people to turn on Bubbline, one of my favorite ships. But really it’s far from a “pure ship” as Marceline and PB are intensely problematic characters lol.
But that’s what makes them interesting. I’m so sick of antis and their “uwu pure” kindergarten bs.
