Have you noticed too how many anti-fujoshi have animanga m/m ships, reblog m/m fanart, like prominent fujoshi-orientated shows like YOI or Banana Fish, but somehow think they’re totally distinct from fujoshi? Prompted by looking at the blogs/accounts of some people I saw who were bashing fujoshi fans of BF and telling them to stay away from it (a series kept alive for 30+years for fujoshi and only got an anime adaptation because of potential fujoshi appeal)

People on this site LOVE content created by fudanshi and fujoshi, but also love equally as much drinking that terf and swerf koolaid

New rule: if you say you hate fujoshi/danshi/jin, your not allowed to engage with media created by them. So no yoi, no card captor sakura, no 19 days, no banana fish, no to a whole truckload of stuff

No Gundam either – Yoshiyuki Tomino specifically stated that girls who wrote yaoi fanfiction were the ones that kept the Gundam franchise alive, particularly during the early years

And no to basically any shoujo manga (including het or gen) created after the 60s, considering that it was the Year 24 Group that actually introduced complex gender and sexuality and philosophical and psychological issues to womens comics (and even women writing comics targeted toward other women in general, before them it was mostly men writing shoujo)

No Golden Kamuy, the creator is a fudanshi!

And certainly nothing by Gen Urobuchi, considering he’s the director and supervisor of Nitro+’s BL branch, Nitro+Chiral – sorry Madoka, Fate/Zero, Kamen Rider and Psycho-Pass fans!

Yes, this is pretty common, and most likely a case of either “I’m not like most girls” style misogyny OR drinking too much of the TERF koolaid and being ignorant about what fujoshi actually means.

no Digimon, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, .Hack, Tales series, Soul Caliber, Bleach, Fire Emblem, Dangan Ronpa, Phantasy Star Online, Sengoku Basara, Beserk, Haikyuu, Hello Kitty, Hikaru no Go, Magi, Mob Psycho, Osomatsu-san, Naruto, Polar Bear’s Cafe, Saint Seiya, 7 Deadly Sins, Tokyo Ghoul, Hamtaro, Tsuritama, Yu-gi-Oh, Zatch Bell or Zoids

– Takahiro Sakurai, voice of MANY main characters in BL series (uke Misaki Takahashi of Junjou Romantica fame), also voiced (often as main characters) in ALL of these series. And he’s far from being the only one (and these aren’t the only series, just a small sample). Your favourite shows and games wouldnt be the same without these voice actors.

Here’s my working list of series anti fujos aint allowed to engage with, anyone feel free to add-

-Yuri!!! On ice

-Banana Fish

-Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, xxxHolic, anything by CLAMP, really!

-Golden Kamuy

-Gundam

-Pysco pass, The Fate/ series, Madoka Magica, anything by Gen Urobuchi

-My brothers husband (on account of the author being friends with and supporting fujoshi, actively contributing to bl anthologies and magazines…in this house we stan tagame)

-My lesbian experience with loneliness

-19 days, their story

-literal BL manga, such as Doukyuusei and Ganbatte!! Nakamura-kun (youd think this one would be obvious, but once again that terf koolaid is powerful stuff)

-showa genroku rakugo shinju

-Siúil, a rún: the girl from the other side

That’s off the top of my head…that’s already EIGHTEEN named series!!!

Also not to mention the loads of Pixiv BL fanart that’s literally tagged as such that people on this site loooovveeee to repost + reblog

– My Hero Academia (all the main characters are voiced by seiyuu of BL series)

Almost forgot!

– Voltron (Kazuhiko Inoue, original seiyuu for Akira Kogane was Reiya Wakabayashi in Angel’s Feather, Kagetsuya in Earthian, Nagisa Sawa in Embracing Love, Eiri Yuki in Gravitation, You Miyagi in Junjou Romantica Masayoshi Shibata in Bad Teacher Equation, and Klaus in Maiden Rose)

Don’t a lot of popular seiyuu also voice BLCDs? I wouldn’t necessarily call them fudanshi just based on that

No, no, we were referring to the fact that these seiyuu played main parts in the production of BL material – and thus are ‘tainted’ by the ‘evil fujos’ (according to antis), so we were facetiously talking about how if you’re supposedly anti-BL and ‘anti fujoshi culture’, then you shouldn’t support the people that keep the BL industry afloat.

That being said, a fair number of seiyuu are fu, and enjoy/consume the works that they create and other similar series. For instance Masatomo Nakazawa, voice of Clear in DRAMAtical Murder, is a fudanshi, drawing fanart, playing all the way through BL VNs, and talking about it on his twitter.

I swear this is the last discourse going on this blog but i want the word out.

Good Post 😊

To be honest, only going by the seiyuu/voice actors would exclude most of the anime.

And that’s not even touching the manga creators, doujinshi, music and other fan related activities that content creators encourage and/or participate in.

That’s pretty much the point. Some anti-fujos were complaining that Yuri on Ice was “tainted” by fujoshi and “yaoi culture” because people involved worked on BL anime/manga or yaoi doujinshi in the past, or were fujoshi/fudanshi, so I figured if that was a litmus test as to “inappropriate” anime/manga for anti-fujos, then all of the above series would count as well.
