how is a male character showing emotion and talking about his emotions harmful in literally anyway…

thats not whats harmful about it, it’s the stereotype that for there to be a gay relationship one guy has to be more feminine than the other. 

friend it sounds to me like you’re insinuating that being a feminine man in a gay relationship is somehow a character flaw, which imo is far and away much more harmful than whatever “bad writing” you’re talking about

of all the relationships that have happened in the show, tweek and craig’s relationship is honestly the healthiest and most wholesome of them all, however “feminine” tweek has become (which if you ask me his character hasn’t really changed that much at all, he’s just more mellow and less prone to constant paranoia??)

their relationship isn’t unbalanced. it’s not abusive. it’s not “forced” anymore, despite it being so at the start. contrast it with heidi and cartman, who are shown to be a toxic, emotionally abusive straight relationship in the same damn episode

matt and trey had no obligation to write creek into the show at all, let alone actually write them in a healthy, mutually loving relationship. who the hell cares if tweek is a tiny bit more feminine because he bakes some cupcakes to help with his anxiety

I’m a tiny hyper feminine chick whose in love with a tol lady who loves being masculine, and I’m attracted to that part of who she is too!

Just because I’m more in tune with my feminine side and my gf is more in tune with her masculine side doesn’t have anything to do with paralleling straight people. And it doesnt make us any less valid than any other couple. We’re just different than one other, and I think it’s sweet.

You can be a gay dude who’s attracted more to feminine men, masculine men, or everything in between. You dont have to be two heavily bearded biker dudes to be real gays lol.
