Kiba

• Kiba would spend the majority of his mission thinking of his s/o and waiting to have them back in his arms, so when he finally returns home expect to be swept into his arms in a bone-crushing hug. If you do manage to free yourself from Kiba’s embrace, Akamaru won’t be far behind, knocking you to the ground and flicking his tongue all over your face.
• Kiba isn’t always that concerned about his personal hygiene once he’s home from a long mission, so it might take some coaxing to get him to actually shower. Usually offering to shower with him does the trick, or threatening to kick him out of the house.
• Kiba loves retelling exactly what happened on his missions, sometimes with an embellished re-enactment. If he returns injured he tries to toughen it up for his s/o, so they don’t worry or get upset. If he does return injured he’ll often comment that “You should see the other guy” or “It doesn’t hurt much” even if he’s in pain.
• Once Kiba is clean(ish), his favourite thing to do after being home from a long mission is to climb into bed with his s/o and fall asleep. The bed will be a huge tangle of limbs as you both snuggle together under the sheets, with Akamaru clambering onto the bed too, pushing you impossibly closer to Kiba.

Iruka

• Iruka tends to be a bit more laid back when it comes to seeing their s/o after a long mission, he won’t jump on them straight away or act overly excited. The first thing he does after every mission is give his report back to the Hokage. It may look like this means he isn’t excited or happy to see his s/o, but this isn’t the case. He does this first so he doesn’t have to be pulled away from you later on, so he can have as much uninterrupted time with you as possible.
• When he returns home he’ll simply scoop you into his arms in a warm embrace, placing a soft kiss on your lips. Once he’s greeted you, he’ll take a quick shower before returning back to you, simply enjoying being in your presence. Sometimes if it’s been a particularly long mission, he’ll invite you to shower with him, enjoying the feel of your fingers dancing across his skin as you help him clean the grime and dirt off his skin.
• Iruka often doesn’t like to talk about his missions to you, not wanting to worry you or retell what happened when he’s gone. Especially if he returns injured. He’d love his s/o to be understanding of this and to not push him or question him too much.
• Iruka will simply lay on his back, beckoning you to come and lay with him as he pulls you under the covers, laying your head on his chest so he can wrap a protective arm around you and just be in your presence, until you both fall asleep.
