there is something that feels really disingenuous about the way antis often speak and engage with the rest of fandom. Like even when they aren’t actively pushing their agenda. If a post comes up about a villian various fan might leave various comments expressing appreciation for the acting, thirst, maybe some meta, but antis often leave comments expressing disgust that just end up feeling realy forced. I can’t put my finger on why those comments feel disingenuous but they do.

Possibly because you see that it’s performative rage, anger just for the sake of anger. It’s a show without substance, they feel superior and righteous for doing absolutely nothing actually relevant for the cause they say they fight for. It’s not even a fight, how loud they can shout is the entirety of their show of power, and it becomes extremely evident when you find them performing in front of the most unrelated thing.
